Decorative Candle

Candle decoration is a in vogue these days and there are many ways to make an plain candle stand out with the help of accessories. I have used my air- dry clay cherry blossom flowers to decorate a simple white candle.
It makes a great show piece no doubt but the decorations should be removed  before burning the candle!

Decorative Candle

This is a totally handmade paraffin wax creation, candle, roses, leaves and base are all made of wax .It can kept on a plate or on a candle-stand for a pleasing effect. But most often people use these as decoration pieces and hardly ever burn them !
I teach these in my candle making classes and the students love to make them in colors of their choice.

Candle Decoration

Candles can be made to look even more beautiful by simple methods.

1 One can stick kundan flowers on a candle by putting a dab of melted wax on it with an old painting brush , we have to work fast as wax sets quickly!

2 Similarly dried flowers can glued on to a candle but they should not get into the way of the flame or they will get burnt too.

3 Mirrors can be stuck on a candle to give it a festive look.

4 Acrylic 3-D color tubes can be used to draw designs on a plain candle.

5 Glitter tubes can be used to give a shimmery effect to a candle.

Frosted Decorative Candles

Frosted candles can be displayed by themselves or decorated with wax roses to give an elegant touch.
These Candles can be used as centre-pieces for events and functions.
The base is a pure wax , frosted wax has been layered on to it and wax roses and leaves stuck on it.
Its easy if the wax roses and leaves have been prepared earlier , one has to work fast as wax cools and hardens pretty fast !
